GreenHitz.com Posted June 17, 2014 Report Share Posted June 17, 2014 Born and raised in West Berlin, Germany, Shantay B has always had a great taste in music and incorporated it into fashion as well, which made the concept “Michael Kors” very easy to come up with. At the tender age of 4 years old, Shantay discovered her natural abilities to play the piano and sing exceptionally. As a teenager she and her family moved back to the United States. Her father was a preacher in Louisville, Kentucky and she became the music minister of her daddy’s church. Career opportunities later brought her to Virginia Beach and therefore she made the move to Charlotte, NC where she would meet young superproducer Novaman. This was a pivotal point in Shantay’s music career because she never worked with any producer that could convey her ideas and help to polish her writing abilities. One day Novaman was inspired by Shantay’s normal fashion apparel which is usually an array designers including Christian Dior along with a large collection Michael Kors watches. He was inspired to developed the “Michael Kors” track and presented it. Shantay was highly impressed and immediately began inking her thoughts and emotions. The record was written and recorded the same day. To add more “girl power” to the record, independent female recording artist MC Moe Diamondz provided her Harlem flow to finesse the urban side of the record. Shantay is currently finishing up her new EP and plans to have a positive impact in the music industry.
