Born and raised in lower income Kansas City, Missouri, Keed moved from neighborhood to neighborhood using his musical talent to establish his credibility and bonds with his peers. After being in many groups, he dropped his first solo project at the age of 18. As of 2012, he has released 5 solo albums, 6 radio singles, and featured on dozens of other albums. Keed Tha Heater grew up listening to relevant Hip-Hop released at the time such as: Spice 1, Ghetto Boys, NWA, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Mase, DMX, 2Pac, Biggie, Missy Elliot, Nonchalant, Outcast, No Limit Records, and Juvenile. Keed has close relationships and respect from many of the local talent such as Big Ben, Marley Young, Royal Flush, and D2R ENT. Bleu Room ENT signed Keed for a single album deal, but after the label separated, Keed was on his own again and released the album mostly produced by Kevin Johnson AKA Churchboi.
