The problem isn't the dj's ..its on promoters.They are wreckless on knowing what a good dj is to sound like.And I push that so much..it should be a common law in the game.I'm damn sure alot of us..have been spinning for more than a good 5yrs(and I mean u practice ya craft)....and u definitely expect top pay....regardless of settin yourself as an ARTIST.Promoters want the money all for themselves..not ever thinkin bout the djs.Now club owners should know better..and should be paying their djs $250 and better...if their club is jumping every week....and that also depends on the city too. But realistically it all comes from promoters findin snakes...to take the cheap route...that come in wit no skills at all.

Man...I understand we in recession..but damn.I've been in the game 14 yrs....and was gettin paper.....and still do from clubs,shows to regular gigs.As being a dj who loves it and studies it ......I get upset.But whats funny is HEARING people talk shit about how terrible the dj was.U know you are gonna run into people that KNOW music....u got party goers that get drunk and know shit about music...and u got those that pay attention and those are the ones that gives u respect...or don't.I hear every week how terrible these "$150 Djs" are....thats in this city and any other city.Its a scam...to the art. Right now currently I get on alot of djs in my area..and make them step their game up for their worth.Promoters like to scam...and not pay unless they got the bread but many are selfish reason why as a dj u gotta know your worth.I'll tell any promoter or club owner or just any customer that wants me to dj...check my credentials and you'll see why I charge $300 -$500 if not more.I'm not one of those djs that can't scratch...and blend...and has to have a hype man....I'm a ONE MAN BAND.And if promoters and fake promoters and entertainments want wack ass djs so be it...but they'll understand why people don't come after a while.Its just all about a dj knowing their worth and PROMOTERS knowing REAL DJS...
