Bhalayn, formerly recording as Nyalah, is a Baltimore-raised, San Antonio-based R&B artist blending Pop R&B, Trap Soul, New-Jazz and Neo-Soul into an atmospheric world built on feeling, movement and feminine perspective. Before the Bhalayn era, her song “Show Out,” released as Nyalah, was featured in Season 2 of STARZ’s BMF.
Driven by expressive vocals and immersive production, Bhalayn explores desire, vulnerability, personal evolution and the full spectrum of feminine emotion. Sensuality is part of her world, but never the whole story. Her music centers women from within—passion, intimacy, excitement, rage and self-discovery without defining those experiences through anyone else.
Her evolving sound draws inspiration from Tinashe, Chlöe , Imani Imani, Justine Skye and SZA while continuing to develop an identity rooted in honesty, intention and emotional freedom.
