What Is a DJ Record Pool? A Guide for DJs and Labels

A DJ record pool is a curated library where DJs get early, legal access to new music, and where artists and labels get their tracks in front of the people who actually play them out. GreenHitz has run this model since 2006.

Why DJs use a record pool

Crate digging takes time. A pool centralizes fresh, release-ready music in the formats and quality DJs need, so you can find the right track for your set without hunting across a dozen stores. On GreenHitz, DJs stream anything, download what fits their sound, and rate tracks to earn points.

Why artists and labels use a record pool

Streaming numbers do not tell you whether a track works on a dancefloor. Putting music directly in front of working DJs does. You get downloads, feedback, and a sense of which records are connecting, all before a wider release.

How GreenHitz works

DJs join free, browse the pool by genre, mood, BPM, and key, and download tracks to test in their sets. Artists and labels submit music and can promote releases to the DJ community. The two sides feed each other: better feedback for artists, better music for DJs.

Getting started

If you are a DJ, create a free account and start browsing the pool. If you are an artist or label, submit your music and see how it lands with real DJs.
