Killer Mike - Imma G PRODUCED BY KANE Stone Mountain, GA: January 19, 2009 Hailing from Stone Mountain, GA, Dem Get-A-Way Boyz started their career almost by chance. Being from the same neighborhood and looking for way to stay out of trouble, the guys would play around in a friend’s home studio, making songs for fun. One of those songs, “Get Away” made its way into the hands of a few local folks and things started taking off from there. The crew once known as The Squad officially became Dem Get-A-Way Boyz and members Kali Supa Flyy, Lil Marco and Flyy began to take this music thing serious. Quickly becoming female fans favorite, Dem Get-A-Way Boyz have been perfecting their style and sound ever since. And when the “Get Away” single was released, the buzz on the group was building and they were hailed as being the next big thing to break of “the A.” Seeing the potential of the group and their growing fan base, Dem Get-A-Way Boyz signed with Lamont Norris & Rodney Thomas’ indy label Warbucks International and got right to work on new material. Soon, they collaborated with other Atlanta artists and released their first mix-tape, called The Get-A-Way. Dem Get-A-Way Boyz then started doing live performances at events, high school pep rallies, sweet sixteens, and teen clubs. Singer, Lil Marco commands all the female’s attention with his vocal ability while rappers Kali and Flyy hold their own with lyrics that both guys and girls can relate too. Speaking on real life situations in teenage love and life on the streets of Atlanta, Dem Get-A-Boyz are being compared to New Edition, Bell Biv Devoe, and even Pretty Ricky. With their latest single, “Imma G,” Dem Get-A-Boyz don’t miss a beat. Produced by Kane, the track knocks for the clubs and Lil Marco, Kali Supa Flyy and Flyy come with undeniable swagger. In 2007, the group launched their My Space page which has over 2 million plays to date. Warbucks put the “Imma A G” single straight into the streets and two months later every major record label was calling. Currently, Dem Get-A-Way Boyz are signed to Warbucks International/Universal Motown. They continue to push their hit single to radio, and perform to sold out crowds, blowing up everywhere they go!
