Man, y'all make me feel better, because I thought it was just in Detroit! Man, I'm 34 now...I was getting $250 in high school! I'm turned down all the time because I won't take $150, or $100...it's bad enough that I'm taking gigs for $350 & $450...I'm worth DOUBLE! (y'all said everything else, no need to repeat...)

I've done it all: rocked big ass crowds, broke songs (in huge clubs as well as on-air), spun for major artists (concerts and clubnights), mixtapes, as well as cut & scratched TOO MUCH at a gig...the whole shot! I AM GREAT!

I was 9 years old when I started. That was in 1983. I learned from my brother and family-friends...they had a big collection of records, and always got the new 12" singles that come out. Of course, they had a pair of SL-1200's, and I don't remember what kind of mixer.
