I heard a dj back in the day that was doing all the stuff I heard on the radio and more. He was just doing parties and mixtapes and could walk into any club and burn it down by watching the crowd. Then one night he did a club and didn't play one record twice, and rocked the hell out of that crowd. This is what inspires me the ability to adapt and go with what you got. I love certain type music, but as a dj you can't play to please yourself. You play for the crowd at the moment and do your best to please them. Alot of djs get paid because they know somebody that can get them a spot in the hottest clubs in their area and can't play worth sh*t. I've known djs that was faking it for 10 to 15 years, but they appealed to people they knew, their bike club friends, family members etc.., but they didn't travel so they were limited. I don't want to limit myself. I feel I can go anywhere at anytime and burn it down because I learned my craft and don't need momma to pat me on the back and say I'm doing a great job. F*ck bells and whistles, and elevate your game... Sorry this so long
