  2. I don't care what kind of equipment u use the love of music should show in the services u provide. The equipment will change over time, but love is love. Period...
  3. -800MK2 Cost about 700 a piece and Serato about 600 Serato will kill your budget , but it is truth. And you will need a good mixer, (Vestax) to start, Pioneer or Rane if you got the bread.
  4. send Full Version (NO DJ) to ineedope@gmail.com. Thanks
  5. If you show people that you are about business they will pay your price. When I didn't know bout bizness I got little next to nothing, Once I open my eyes to more I got more. Its just how you approach.
  6. People underbid because they don't see the value of the work. Computers have made the job easier, and that forces more people to compete for gigs. My advice is love what you do, and practice for the opportunity to be successful. You will only get back what you put in, so if your sh@t is up to par then your pay will be (or it should be...).
  7. Damn I know Turk. He DJs at Secret's and The Cave thats "F"-ed UP.
  8. Try to get 4 or 5 gigs in 1 week at $150 a piece, or have a goal of getting 1 or 2 gigs a week for $500 a gig. Many times people will act as if they are going to give you an opportunity to do what you love doing for little or no money (NO!!) you are in control, you set the tone if you want to DJ for free let it be your choice, not forced on you in an effort to enslave your talents. You demand a price for your time an effort if they can't afford it then let them go get another DJ. If you just got to get off then go somewhere and spend time with people that you know and love and DJ for free. Peace
  9. If you want to get paid more money you have to invest and market in yourself. When the people that like what you are doing grows, you will get more money.
  10. Owners and promoters should do their research. Good DJ-ing is a talent period. If you want top dollar for your service you have to promote yourself. Getting one gig a week for $150 doesn't sound like much of a plan. If you want more you have to show more, and plan ahead.
