Yung Po$ was born in Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina on February 1st 1990. Raised in Camden, South Carolina ever since his birth his mother Thomasina Dubose knew that he would be very special one day and do great things. His father Derrick “Po$ Head” Robinson introduced Yung Po$ to rap music as a young baby and it stuck ever since. As Yung Po$ grew up through school he always was recognized for his ability to be quick witted and very lyrical. Later once he started writing poems around the age of 12 and recognized how talented he was Yung Po$ just kept rhyming and trying to get better knowing that his talented voice shouldn’t go to waste thanks from the support of his mother and father. Always thinking music was a backseat to his football career he was pursuing because that was his first love, things changed when his senior year he got incarcerated for a drug possession that ended up getting him kicked off the football team. From then Yung Po$ vowed to grind hard and falling back in love with rap kicked off a whole new outlook for the young mc. He then attended college at Charleston Southern Univ. to then realize how much he actually loved rap and then quit school to pursue his dreams. Not only trying to make hit records but giving food to the youth that feels like they have nothing left while showing everybody that anything is possible as long as you have faith.
