for a dj mixtape, what i do is take songs that i believe are hot and blend them one after the other, not doing a lot of talking also putting a few driops on the mix to let people know who they are listening just in case you get bootlegged, now with the compilation or street albums, i tend to get with local artist and see what they visions are to see if they would like to submit music, the only thing is if you dont have a track record for breaking artist then they may be hesitate to deal with you fam
