  1. I thought I did that. I'll try it again.......
  2. Speaking of not knowing anything, I just got this thing hooked and it says "hardware not connected"! Can I get some help.........thanks!!
  3. Good stuff, will be looking for drops real soon. Still revamping my studio so I'm down for the moment........
  4. I know some peeps that use torq and traktor with no problems. I went with Serato just because it's about standard anywhere you go and Rane ain't no joke...I bought mine by selling a bunch of records in my ebay store. I'm still selling records now. I'm not too much up on Serato yet cuz the laptop I planned on using has some issues so now I'm getting a Mac...I'm used to vinyl so now I have to relearn a bunch of stuff but it will be worth it in the end. A lot of newer djs coming up have never even spun vinyl (weird ain't it).....
  5. Had A Request For This Last Week! It's On!!
  6. Really if you don't live in an "urban" area where you can get access to vinyl, going digital is the next option, especially since you can get downloads off the internet. Being a dj is not a cheap habit so you have to make it work with the tools you have......
  7. I mix, I cut, I spin...therefore I am.....
  8. It doesn't matter what you have, it's how you use it. All of this stuff has pros and cons, but sometimes maybe you should go with the industry standard. I remember when Vestax was making a run at Technics but honestly I don't see too many people rocking Vestax tables. I don't get out much either, but when I do get out I usually see some Technics, Pioneer mixer, Laptop, Serato, or Pioneer CDJs......Not all together but one or more of these items is usually in the setup.......
  9. I just got Serato SL3 a few weeks ago, unfortunately my laptop crapped out so waiting to get another one. I should have held out for the mixer but that was another $500 I had to spend. Anyway Serato ain't cheap. Traktor is cheaper but I went with Serato just because it has the best track record in my opinion. I know a few guys that use Traktor but they don't scratch they just mix. I hear that Traktor doesn't handle the cuts that well, but I could be wrong ....
  10. He got that loop going on, don't know how they gonna feel about it in the club though. Been getting a mixed up crowd lately.....
  11. you really don't need a link, just go to youtube abd type serato in the search or go to the serato site forum.... I just sl3. Haven't even got it hooked up yet.....
  12. Dub V aka Dj 911 aka 9 , reppin' West Virginia...... been a dj since 1980 , still doing and learning. My only real claim on tracks is Midwest Funk Vol. 3 out of Ohio. Helped produce a track on that called "Money Seems"..... Don't care about the money or game, just doing it.....
  13. Souljahboy has yet to impress me but I give him his props for impressing a lot of people...he's doing something right.....some of you need to pay attention...
  14. Should be able to slide this one in with no problem...
  15. Good track, should pop off in the club. Danceable = yes. So I don't know what people are talking about when they say it's not a dance track. Lately I've been playing a lot of older tracks and getting away with it. Sometimes when I drop "newer" joints motherfuckers act like I don't know what the hell I'm doing, then they come request it from anywhere to 3-6 months later....it's all good though. I'll see what I can do with it. Everyone in on Gucci right now or should I say again....let's not forget about them so Icey days........right? Keep em comin' . I love seeing longevity in the game...
  16. Just getting serato......(drools)
  17. Fruit of da looms is on the come up!!! Those commercials with the chics dancing around are off the hook...!
