What kind of laptops are you djs using with Serato. I'm still in bind with the hookups. Should be easier than this.....

I'm pretty tight with my club owner. Course we've known each other for over 10 years. When he picked me up he wanted a hip-hop/r&b dj but I had quit doing hip-hop and was strictly dnb at the moment. I decided to cross it back over and gave it a try. Took about a week to get back in to the groove and I've been there ever since. He basically pays me good but he tells me what the bar sells are plus the bills he has to pay out for month so when it comes down to it he's making some money but just getting over in most cases. He's a buy low sell high person (like most businesses). I pretty much can do what I want as far as the djing goes, and he's cool with it. I think it helps to know what the owners and promoters of clubs / shows go through cuz a lot are not making that much money when it comes down to it, but a lot of them are making money in bigger cities so you really have to know where you stand. If you have to go cheaper on a show for publicity then I think that's o.k. , but if you're doing shows for free all of the time you've got a problem or you're one of these rich dj kids that doesn't have to work. That just makes me work harder to keep it real......
