Louisiana's 672 Entertainment started in the notorious Monroe neighborhood of Bryant Additions; know for its griminess, drugs, and crime. Three brothers saw something's others couldn't, a wealth of talent brewing in their troubled neighborhood. Day after day, they watched their neighborhood piers get trapped in the criminal system, and finally decided to do something about it. The trio figured that music would be a better way to channel their energy, so they decided to put their minds and their money together, and invested in a more lucrative business. They started with a simple in house studio, piecing together the studio equipment as they received money to afford it. In 2002, they formed the music label Grind to Shine Records, and dropped their first project, Grindaholics featuring Big Hoot, Jake, Lil Dee, Stoke, Mike Lo, Lil Brother, Nate, and CEO Koo Lu. From 2002 to 2005, the label worked to refine its image and continued to organize their efforts to attack the music industry. With the strengthen of Hoot as the lyrist, the label decided to push Hoot as their first major project. The King of the City dropped in 2005 and featured label mates Bad Luck and CEO Koo Lu. During this time, shows, articles and radio spins started coming their way. In November of 2006, FBI raided the GTS studios and took the CEO into custody and seized all of the equipment; a major setback for a label beginning to reap its hard work. Federal agents later took down the second brother, leaving only one to fend for the label. The music came to a stand still due to the convocation of the equipment. Hoot was featured on songs here and there but was unable to follow up with a solo project. Hoot's second project, Hood Living, which was halfway done, when it was leaked to the public. The record company was rejuvenated, now under the name 672 Entertainment, by hosting parties and selling plates, raising money in order to get the studio. Today, 672 Entertainment has reorganized and pushed to be a powerhouse in the music industry.
