MP Marcus
Born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, Artist Derek Williamz aka DaVinci Willz paints a picture so vivid using only the sound of his voice and music behind it. Brought up by his mother and father around a variety of Genres, he has formed art to mimic life. While growing up his father exposed him to rhythmic formats such as pop and woldbeat while at the same time expanding not only his cultural awareness but maturing his musical diversity. Towards Williamz' later years throughout high school he began to write his own rhymes after witnessing a live performance at a local community event. Through the influences of Cassidy, Derek Williamz began to perfect his rhythmic touch and suave approach and finally had success with the release of, "Hello", a club single co-written by DaVinci. With club rotation in effect as well as a radio spot for the single a foundation began to build. 2012 began for Derek as a reviving point in his musical career with him focusing more on his individual efforts and ended with him back on stage at over 6 featured live performances. Derek continued to show that versatility in 2013 even still with the recent release of the debut mixtape, “Fourth Quarter: Fashionably Late" featuring major music production from producer Kouley and Mixing by Muhnee OnDa Track. He ended of the year as an opening act for major Hip Hop headliner Juicy J and showing off his stage performing skills. Williamz recently has gained momentum with his latest release and visual for “Star” also produced by Kouley. Under the group Definite Legends Conglomerate, DaVinci paints the perfect picture. Follow @DavinciWillz on twitter! http://facebook.com/iamderekwilliamz http://iamderekwilliamz.com/ Nice track . Very easy hook, and a nice flow as well. Production / beats good not too hard but just right . This is close to a hip hop classic . Can I have a drop and arrange for an interview?
