I'm not DJing yet but I had an established DJ ask me the same shit because his hip hop game is sorry. I only hooked him up with a couple of tracks because I have been maintaining my playlist for 9 years and I can't even get a favor out of him. IDK since then I have the feeling most DJs are like that since you are in direct competition with them and they are afraid to lose a job or something.

Take the equipment from them? Wouldn't that be stealing... You didn't even answer my question either... I know for a fact clubs provide certain equipment I am just asking what. I have my own turntables just don't have a full DJ setup so don't even go there..

I want to start DJing in clubs but I was wondering what do most clubs provide from a hardware/software standpoint. For example what kind of music player (turntable or cdj), Serato mixer or box, etc..

How much should a new DJ charge who actually has talent? I live in Cali and I see tons of bad DJs doing their thing in the club probably because they are undercutting folks. It's even harder for me to get into the game when no one wants to put me on.
