The truth's the game's messed up rite now. Being Dj'ing since '94 and I remember we had passion and love for the game then. That was why we were able to memorise thousands of BPMs and wow the crowd without the 'software & computer factor'. I dont have anything against computer 'n softwares, dont get me wrong, cos they reduce he load DJ's need to carry to gigs. It's just that they make it easier for idiots to lay claim to the title 'DJ'. To them, I guess being a DJ is about the 'Swag', fame n money. Conclusion : anybody who cannot work and wow the crowd on two turntables (no cds pls) and a mixer wthout the use of computer technology have no right to declear themselves as DJ's

Personally I use Torq but I also regularly use Serato. They are both good though with some differences and I dont think we should be making too much noise comparing. Applications (Torq or Serato) dont make the DJ. You'll never be a great DJ simply cos of the application u run, it's about ur skills, creativity and getting the best out of whatever software u use. Thank God for those softwares, I cant imagine carry heavy crates of records to gigs like we used to in the 90's!

I use Torq but I think Serato's equally good. Personally, I'd prefer doin it the old fashioned way...real vinyls. They dont even make records anymore these days..do they?
