About Me

Bronx native, Nine aka Nine Double M exploded onto the music scene in 1993 on the underground smash “Six Million Ways to Die," with Funk Master Flex and the Ghetto Celebs.  Nine then signed to Profile Records and released the album Nine Livez which included the hits “Whatchu Want, and "Any Emcee," each peaking respectively on the Billboard charts at the number 3 and 21 positions.  While Arista Records was buying out the Profile label, Nine’s second album Cloud 9  was released.  With very little promotion or support "Lyin King" and the Cloud 9 album both made their way onto to the Billboard charts, with Cloud 9 peaking at number 45, the album is widely regarded as a hip hop classic.

Nine’s thundering trademark of raspy vocals have been sampled on Madonna, Portishead and the Beastie Boys and delivered the ultimate blueprint for the wave of rugged MC’s that followed him.

On this lit new single “Fiyah” Nine melts the mic with that thunderous voice and next level pen, delivers a fun DMX impersonation and speaks on mumble mouth rappers.

"Fiyah” is produced by legendary Jesse West who produced and recorded Biggie’s first demo and worked with GZA, Xzibit, KRS One and many others.  “Currently Nine is in the studio working on a new full length album with Germany’s own Snowgoons”.
