Diannte’ Lamar Grayson,[1] (born November 25, 1991),[2] better known by his stage name Year 3000 C-Tip (3Thowwow), is an Jamaican/Panamanian/American rapper, songwriter from the Spartan Village neighborhood of Norfolk, Virginia.[3]
After releasing a series of Locally successful mixtapes between 2010 and 2011, 3Thowwow signed a Independent label deal with ChiaMi Ent. Under fellow American rap Group CHiaMi's C4E Imprint, to help launch his own label imprint CoDenieBoyz Under The Company.
3Thowwow Quickly began working on his debut Mixtape NeptuneLingo Under the C4E Imprint. Featuring production from in-house producers CJG, BJSoIll & El Yhapo, 3Thowwow went to the core of showing what “Year 3000” means (Emphasizing “Ahead Of Time”). Taking listeners on a creative journey through Neptune and showing listeners how he embodies Neptune
as well. C-Tip’s material connects with audiences on a gut level, finding a common ground in the
types of experiences he’s had, but reacting to them in a way no sane person should. Influenced by different genres of music (Jazz, Funk, House, Hip-Hop, Rock, Oldies, Electronica, Blues, R&B) 3Thowwow’s wraps his writing skills on emphasizing the sound of that decade or region and fully embodying it to a modern standard. Currently Living In San Diego, Ca, 3Thowwow shows this with “Smack” (One of the leading singles from NeptuneLingo), and also a commonly used word in SoCal, By using the term in the westcoast over chanting bells wrapped around aggressive 808s with a down south groove embodying a east/west feel in one song.
