  • Biography
A wise man once said, “Make the most of yourself for that is all there is of you.” Someone who strives to fulfill their complete potential by exploring new talents and working on perfecting their craft daily is what you call a legend in the making. Not even in his prime yet, DJ Lil Keem fits this description to a tee. At the ripe age of 17, DJ Lil Keem is taking the music scene by storm; utilizing his many talents to establish his brand.
Hailing from South Carolina, DJ Lil Keem has been building his career since he was in middle school. Lil Keem, born Hakeem Anderson, began DJing when he was just 12, and even did his first mixtape before then when he was in the 5th grade. After a few years passed and he realized that this was something he could do with his life, Lil Keem started taking his DJing seriously when he hit age 16. In less than a year after establishing himself as a professional DJ, Lil Keem caught the attention of promoters and veteran DJs and landed his first gig at an 18 and up club. As of now, he works in the clubs every weekend in his city and stays highly requested by the promoters and party-goers. In addition to landing gigs at the clubs, he also began perfecting his mixtape craft and has created a long catalog. His breakthrough mixtape was Cocaine Heritage with Yo Gotti and Young Jeezy, a collaboration with 239 Mixtape Supplier. Since then he earned the respect of up and coming and established indie artists, placing him in high demand for mixtape hosting services.
Not only has Lil Keem established himself as a notable DJ at the young age of 17, but has also started an additional career in graphic design. Once he began doing his own artwork for his mixtape projects, he got the attention of several artists, including popular Atlanta-based hip hop group, Brick Squad. In addition to his mixtape hosting services, his graphic design talents complete his package and excelled his worth.
Drawing inspiration from power house DJs such as DJ Drama, DJ Scream, DJ Teknikz, and DJ Jazzy Jeff to name a few, Lil Keem is destined for greatness. His current Respect Tha Grind mixtape series has grown rapidly in popularity and he continues to be in high demand in the mixtape hosting and graphic design arenas. Not only has Lil Keem proven that he is a young force to be reckoned with, but he has already done what most have yet to do; establish himself as a full brand. At just 17, Lil Keem has already solidified his position in the music industry.
