President of Mi5 Recordings (Universal Music Group), Financial Partner The Umbrella Media LLC, is a British/Nicaraguan artist/singer, guitarist (dual US/British citizen), played a long-time role as guitarist/songwriter/co-singer/producer, and manager for the British band Modern English, a New Wave pop group that sold 6 million records in the US. Additionally Mr. Mason has produced, worked with, and played as a session musician for a diverse group of artists, among whom include Peter Gabriel, Toots and the Maytals, Trevor Horn, Betty Carter, Kid Creole, Santana, the Verve, Jesus Jones, the Wallflowers, Khaled, Jeff Beck, 10,000 Maniacs, Afrika Bambatta and Queen Latifa. Ted studied classical guitar at the San Francisco conservatory of music before joining Modern English and is also a consummate bebop musician. Mi5 Recordings have worked with a variety of artists including, Mobb Deep, Wycleff, Mona, Jerry Wonder, Big Noyd, Nas, Wu-Tang Clan, G-Unit, Lil Kim, Alchemist, Un Pacino, Raekwon, Common, Pharrell Williams, Mary J Blige, Twin Gambino (aka Big Twins), Godfather Pt.III,Ty Nitty Ne-Yo, Lil Jon, Sean Paul, and Keyshia Cole.
