For the most part, promoters only go with the people that they know....so if you weren't in the circle to begin with, then it's gonna be Hell up in Harlem trying to get in. What I have found to help me get in with a lot of them is to find out where they are....show up to the events....introduce yourself......let them know what you're about....EXCHANGE NUMBERS.......for me it's about building relationships....not being a hoe to the business. I have found when you show love to any of these promoters they will remember that, and when something comes up where they can use you, then they will call. Also, invite them out to the events that you currently spin at so they can witness what type of crowd you can hold....you can make it even easier.....if you lock down a date for them to come see you.....do what these rap cats do at open mics....bring ya whole damn crew in the club.....the more people you got rockin to ya shyt...well....you know the rest. On the flip side, I know promoters who say they use 2 or three DJ's per night to "change up the flow".....that's bullshyt and with that I say if you're ever in that situation.....PLAY FIRST....it gives you the power to drop ALL the bangers before the other cats get on....here's why....they're gonna come right behind you and play the same shyt....which gets redundant....I play the same record twice as often as archeologist find dinosaur bones!!! I have yet to see a three man team play totally different shyt while spinnin in the same room....having three levels is totally different. That's what it is....in my opinion

I'm on it...gave it a spin last night at my showcase....cats was feelin it....errybody like "where you get that from/what CD is it on"? I TOLD EM TO JOIN GREENHITZ....FOOL!!!! I think it will be even more relevant once the movie comes out and you can visualize the song with the movie....I'm sure it'll be even hotter then.

The beat rides, not really feelin the hook...overall, I'd play it early in the club...could possibly build up momentum...the benefit of spinnin it early in clubs is that you are more likely to hear more of the track than if it was played during peak time.
