I feel ya...this is crazy...I spend a great deal of my day thinking man I might just stop dj'ing because the under bidding is so bad..especially in S.C...You got club owners who want quality work but paying crack head money...I like that technology helps a dj but I really think it's the root to all problems..cats wouldn't be so quick to under bid if you take away free music download sites, napster, limewire when you had to actually go to the store go through all the new release 12inches and play them..and depending on the 12inch they can run 7.99 with out tax all the way up to 15.99 if it's a top secrete or leathal weapon or any remix issues I remember going in and spending somewhere around 150.00 to 3 something on records easily and that was a weekly thing...so once again take away free downloads and cdj's ...and lets not get started with that..bottom line new breed cats do not know the craft of dj'ing...you have mixers, software, and digital players doing the work we all had to learn to do like doubling up two records the flange (make the sound bend) new age dj's can't do it without the help of stuff thats on the market.
