Kairee Imani aka artist Imani Kairee from ConnecticutT professionally started around 13 years old when she was taken to a studio to record at the advice of a friend.The studio producer/engineer expected a singer not an MC when this tiny voiced young lady came to see him. " I used to always write to all MOB DEEP tracks, they used to laugh and say I was to serious".I started out with a mix tape" I wrote" Get Mani" to a Lil Kim track which a lot of people loved produced by SmokeHouse Studios,

There Imani wrote grew and learned a lot of the business sense she has today, and developed the tough skin of a pink elephant.

As Imani Kairee started to perform in the Connecticut under ground music circuit, she started to gain respect of the mostly male rappers that performed. You could always see her front and center cheering on everyone that performed and making her presence know to the promoters and the DJ's.People always asked if she was going to sing"Nah I rap" was the nonchalant response.At after they were impressed.

No venue or event was to big or small, Imani once played at an event for 3 people citing" something happened in the communication of the promoters, and some of the other bands left.Those three people took they're time out to travel there.

I have had promoters not pay me as they should, equipment break downs like a mic going out etc you know the norm in business she laughs. Once during a performance the mic went dead, but she just saw it as a chance to prove her professionalism by not freaking out." I have it on tape me still performing to a dead mic and them switching one in and one out..we laugh now."

The "Static Electrizity" has had a long haul,some songs recorded almost 2 years ago have been played on Fame Games a online site run by Tony Cowell, Simon Cowell's (American Idol) brother, that recognizes indie talent. They played one, the first song I recorded for this album"Time to Get on internationally. I beat out other artist to the top ten for radio play and won a Effigy award that they give.

Her alieness comes from the fact that she has always been different not on the black side or white side of the music always the grey. Alot of times the outcast but Imani embraces that responsibilty fully. "My sound,looks,my hair and everything else I do is me Imani Kairee".But sometimes people that are already in the public eye come out with a similar certain something, that is the most annoying part,this is me,not anyone else so don't mistake it",she quips.
