Reigning from Bad Newz Virginia home of NBA star Allen Iverson and NFL star Michael Vick. My music is a mix of both Northern and Southern music styles. “Being from VA is my strong point I look at it as the top of the south and bottom of the north so I have the ability to create melodic catchy hooks usually associated with more southern artist and have the lyrical ability to keep up with northern artist”. I have been writing music for 10 years. Early in my career I worked with Diamondback ENT and Nex N Line records.
I am currently an artist and part owner of TrapHouse Digital an up and coming label from my area. I have worked with platinum producer DJ L.E.S. and a number of local artists from Virginia. My music style is what I have deemed to be anti-trap music. I am a guy from “The Struggle” and honestly I feel like both sides of the game are not told. A lot of other artists mainly show you the glamor and glitz of money and partying neglecting the part when it goes wrong.
The east end of Newport News more commonly known as “Bad Newz” Virginia is a poverty stricken low income section of the city and most of my life is where I called home. As a child I’ve witnessed and engaged in many crimes not because I chose to but more as a means of survival.
As a child I always had a profound love for poetry which later intrigued my interest in music. It was until I turned 16 and was introduced to another up and coming artist and partial owner of TrapHouse digital Magneto Dayo. Is when I began to take my writing seriously. We began performing at local talent shows and independent venues making a name in our area. With such a wonderful response and a hunger for the national stage we began doing self-released mix tapes with DJ Lewy Lew, DJ L.E.S. and the Trapaholics. After a great response from my first solo mix tape “Hollywood Thoughts” which I distributed 5k copies and in preparing my follow-up release “Million Dollars waiting to happen” I am looking to advance my career to the next level.
My musical influences are some of the greatest in the game such as Biggie, 2pac, Jay-z, Jeezy, T.I., and Nas. I feel like with hard work and dedication I could one day catapult myself in the raptors with some of hip hops elite.
