James Duke (Born November 29, 1990) better known by his professional handle, J. Duke, is an American music producer/recording artist from Birmingham, AL.
He has just released his debut single “PayBack”, produced himself under the independent label 'Inspired Musik Entertainment'.
Growing up in Birmingham he found many influences through music; as well as from his experiences when traveling across the country to visit his father, from Miami to Los Angeles. Not to mention the influence from a vast array of vinyls, cassettes, and cds his mother kept to listen/learn from.
His mother was prominent in his life, giving him a closeness of family as he matured and broadened his plans for the future.
He plans to give Alabama a new outlet through his innovative sounds and different rhyme formats, of which you would not hear the average "southerner" deliver.
“PayBack” is available on Itunes, as well as many other online distributors for your own download and insight.

Like so many rappers after the turn of the millennium, Los Angeles-based rap artist Keenon Jackson (otherwise known as YG or Young Gangsta) got his start by accumulating a wide internet following. The success of "She a Model" and "Aim Me" online earned him a bid with Def Jam, and he signed to the pioneering hip-hop label in 2009. Several mixtapes followed, including 2010's The Real 4Fingaz and 2011's Just Re'd Up, each of which boasted a charting Billboard single. He also became a popular MC, guesting on tracks by Freddie Gibbs, Travis Porter, E-40, Nipsey Hussle, and Young Jeezy. In 2013, it was announced that Jeezy would be producing his debut studio full-length, to be titled Im 4rm Bompton, which was slated for a summer release that year. The planned album never appeared, as YG entered the studio with a different producer, DJ Mustard. The album My Krazy Life finally landed in 2014, with Drake, Rich Homie Quan, and ScHoolboy Q among its guests. On Young Memphs lyrically precise Shame on Hip Hop 4 Leavin Out My DJ. Young Memph tears in to The Mc's before him that started the actual trend of phasing out the DJ in Hip Hop. Hitting hard below the belt with the 100% lyrically cutting truth directed to those that actual phased out the very instrument that gave the MC a platform to be heard. Young Memph also did not spare the crab ass MC's presently out or the ones to come, without mentioning one name. Young Memph gives his signature chuckle and called them follower MC's, all up in hip hop with no history or regard to how it should be. As TI says in his single, It's all about the money, today's Mc Steals records, bites styles to make that paper just as the MC's of the past cut out there DJ to get that extra paper. Young Memph says F the excuse of "well hip hop evolved" Young Memph states "Hip Hop has been evolving ever since the first DJ Battle but as your Mom ages Memph says you don't kick her out of your home to save money"! Well put Memph.
Yes, Young Memph is not on the front line. Young Memph is the forefront of bring hip hop back to its original form giving us a little scratch and cut here and there In His banging music, at the same time working that Obama theory of spreading the wealth with those that gave birth to the MC. The DJ.

Memph states he knew his music was good but not good enough and started to make music all could enjoy leaving out all profanity in his music. Not to say he has gone soft or lost his edge, his craft proves he can go bar for bar with the best of them yet hold his head high when his mother listens to his musical creations
