for me its a combination of many things, the love of music is essential, to have a sound background knowledge of the history of the music, as its not all about new music, a lot of the new tracks we are hearing are loosely based on a lot of the old school beats. to be able to judge a crowd an know when its time to switch the groove and take control, taking the crowd on a musical journey. there are so many who call themselves djs because they have a bag of tunes, but they cant entertain further than their bed rooms.
