to continue my last entry, once word got out i wasnt showin up no one wanted to come thru anymore... instead of hiring a dope dj in the city that brings a crowd with him, u got a lame ass niguh with no pull and half the money u coulda made didnt show up....u get a quality dj u do numbers..u get some lame ass niguh or a fukkin button pusher that nobody knows ,aint nobody gon pay for that shit but u at the end of the night...and even still the promoter gon hit the niguh wit' that 'we aint make that much tonite so all i got is...' bullshit, lol....

Tru indeed....we do our own events and you gotta have a business mind. To add to that you gotta let niguz know u get what u pay for... for example this past halloween weekend i had a wanna be promoter cancel on me the day before. now he said he foun someone with everything he need but when he called and said that the conversation was supposedto be meet me at the spot so we maked sure i bring everything i need...instead of keepin it one hunnit and sayin i found a niguh for cheap (who by the way he didnt want in the first place) he made it seem like i was lacking something he asked for but i knew whoever this hungry ass niguh was that ended up dj'n undercut me. it was a small venue so i lowered my usual price to the average any dj in the area would charge and he still went lower. but hey if he wanna go hard and carry equipment to and from the venue for little to nothin be my fukkin guest bitch... lol

its really upsetting when u put in all the time and effort not int o just the skill of blending and mixing gettin those records to lock like str8 drop out tha pot, ya dig.... but knowing what to play and when to play it...now granted as dj's we are like performers and the dj booth is our stage...sonetimes its good to not blend certain records in and just drop that shit to hear the club say 'oooooooooooohhhhhh!!' but i feel after all i put in to this for the last 23 years (i started playing partied when i was 12, im 35 now) i deserve that reaction on certain records without blending or mixing cuz i've proven myself time and time again.... i got a question tho...what about dj who cant scratch at all or are limited in their scratching ability (this should be a good one ) im gonna post this separately...
