The album was recorded in Westland Studios in Dublin, Ireland, Black Box Studios in Noyant La Gravoyre, France and mastered at Golden Mastering[4] in Los Angeles. Let It Break is a self-released album[5], under her own label 'Gemma Hayes Music Records'[6]. The album is distributed by Irish label indi entertainment.

Birmingham based NWOBHM style metallers Agincourt release their debut album 'Angels Of Mons' through their own label, Agincourt Music. The band were originally formed in 1991 and are heavily influenced by the NWOBHM era of the previous decade, they had two self released EPs, did a recording session for Radio One and the famous Maida Vale Studios in London, and their brand of old school metal was being tipped by may to carry them to big success.
At this time the band received substantial airplay at local, national and International level, along with a video appearance on national television, as well as performing live shows at prime venues, but the arrival of grunge effectively killed off their hopes and the band split up in 1997. However, 11 years later Agincourt reformed. Three original members vocalist/guitarist Richard E. Toy, guitarist Frank Miracco and bassist Russ Weaver were joined by former Benediction drummer Paul Brookes, but Miracco was quickly replaced by Paul Anderson. The band are to release their debut album 'Angels Of Mons' on March 1, but since they finished recording there debut offering, Brookes has left, with Steve Riley coming in.
So onto 'Angels Of Mons' and its apparent from the off on first track 'Edge Of Paradise' you are going to be offered a cross of early Maiden and classic Saxon. The album really takes me back to my youth when the NWOBHM kicked off with tracks like 'Going Insane' with its monster riff, and personal favourite of mine, the outstanding 'Breakdown'.
The band also remind me in parts of German metallers 'Steelwing', especially on 'This Life', 'Fool No More' and 'Promised Land', and although the production is not brilliant it actually adds to that raw sound that featured on so many of those classic NWOBHM albums from back in the day. The album is brought to a close with the excellent 'Agincourt' and for me this debut offering from this Midlands based band has been a real nostalgia trip down memory lane to the founding days of British Heavy Metal.

After leaving Scandal in 1984, vocalist Patty Smyth waited three years before launching her solo career with the Never Enough album. Although it sold respectably, it didn't have any major hit singles. Smyth returned to the top of the charts in 1992 with "Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough," a duet with Don Henley; the single hit number two and went gold. As well as being an indispensabile instrument for accompanying violin sonatas, trios and quartets, the guitar was often used by Paganini as a solo instrument, especially during the years of his youth. All Paganinis guitar compositions are written for chittarra [sic] francese, as the musician frequently defined it, that is the guitar with six simple strings. In the last decade of the eighteenth century this new type of guitar had definitively replaced the old five-string model, also known as the Spanish guitar. The 37 Sonatas M.S. 84 are mostly two-movement compositions (only the eleventh and the last four are single-movement works), on the model of the sonatas for violin and guitar. The one thing that is missing, compared to these sonatas, is a genuine slow movement. The first movement is always a Minuetto in 3/4 time, and is often of virtuoso character, whilst the second may be an Allegretto, a Valtz, a Rondoncino, etc. This recording was made using a copy of the Panormo guitar of 1822 built by the Renato Barone. In the ritornelli, Guido Fichtner has added occasional little variations and embellishments to Paganinis score, offering a reading that is highly virtuoso, brilliant and full of imagination to these original, important examples of the history of the guitar in the nineteenth century.

This collection consists of ten Japanese singles given to me by ringosshed and one US single. When I started this project, I didn't realize that "One Way or Another" was a North American single only. The rest of the world got "Sunday Girl" in it's place. I couldn't imagine a singles collection without this track, so I included the US single (following the "Sunday Girl" single in chronological order, though I'm not certain which one came out first). For all intents and purposes the releases were simultaneous. "One Way" reached #26 on Billboard and was the band's fifth most successful US single. Another quirk in the Japanese catalog is that "Kidnapped" seemingly was released as a single in Japan and nowhere else in the world. Perhaps not coincidentally it is also the only one of the singles that uses the Chrysalis green label (all of the others using the white to blue fade featured in the included artwork). Also of interest is the Japanese first single. In the US the first three Blondie singles (chronologically) were "X Offender","In The Flesh" and "Rip Her To Shreds" (with their corresponding B-sides). The first Japanese single utilized "Rip" as the A-side and "Flesh" and "X" as a two track B-side. The version of "X" used on the Japanese single is the standard album version. When Private Stock (Blondie's first US label) issued "X", it had a slightly different sound, but it's no big whoop either way. To my ears the album version is the exact same two track master as the earlier single, just with some reverb added. The reverb helps the vocal and really helps the snare, but it serves to wash out the tambourine and maracas, giving a Phil Spector Wall of Mud sound to the track. What would be great is if they went back to the multis and added the reverb where it helps but keeping the high stuff clean. FYI, I also included a "Bonus" folder with a couple of MP3s that were on the old official Blondie site but aren't on the new one. I didn't get them from there myself, but as far as I know they are unchanged from the original sanctioned free downloads. The bonus folder also contains (labeled as "16b") the flip of "Call Me" which is an instrumental credited to Georgio Moroder, though it does use Blondie's vocal track.
Burning instructions...
You will notice that there are two sets of art, one labeled "purist". For those who agree with me that a Blondie singles collection can not exclude "One Way or Another", just burn the tracks as they are presented (in US chronological order) and use the corresponding art. For the "purists" who want a true Japan only collection, remove tracks 12 and 13, add 16b from the bonus folder and renumber the tacks to match the "purist" art. My hope is that sharing it this way will satisfy everyone.
