  4. Download Now! No matter what is being supplied, a hustler is only as good as his word. With Atlanta serving up some of the hottest product in the rap game, native son Young Jeezy stands as one of the most exciting merchants of cool to emerge in years. Thanks to underground testimonials like “Air Forces” and “Chuuch,” Jeezy’s street swagger and authentic style has quickly made believers out of some the biggest players in the game, from Fabolous to P. Diddy. In his native Atlanta, and throughout the south, Young Jeezy has created nothing short of a movement. Like many hustlers on the mic, rapping wasn’t in Jeezy’s original game plan. As CEO of Corporate Thug Entertainment, Jeezy was content to stack his paper from the background. “Basically, I’m a real nigga so I can relate more to a lot of cats,” Jeezy says of his appeal. “ I don’t just do music for the clubs, I do music for the struggle. I do music for everyday niggas, the kids who ain’t got no sense of direction. I’m trying to restore some of the morals back into the game, as far as the street.” What sets Young Jeezy’s music apart is his ability to bring color and flash to a story that has been told so many times before. He’s a true digital age artist who doesn’t need 16 bars to develop a picture in your head. When he snaps off a verse the image is simple enough for everyone to feel it instantly. 7. Download Now! Born in California but raised in Detroit, rapper Big Sean made big news in 2007 when he signed with Kanye West’s recently formed label, G.O.O.D. Music. Sean had met West through a hip-hop radio station in Detroit. He was just trying to impress the superstar by displaying his freestyle skills, but after Sean’s in-studio performance, West offered him a recording contract and helped set up his debut mixtape, Finally Famous Vol. 1, released in 2007. A second volume arrived in 2009 with a third following in 2010. 8. New York, New York, songwriter/emcee, Warren Daryl Wint, made his "official" worldly entrance back on January 27th 1991, which coincidentally took place during Super Bowl XXV, where the N.Y. Giants ultimately upset the Buffalo Bills by a minimal one point margin. Wint, the son of Errol and Marcia, grew up bouncing around Long Island, along with his mother and brothers, until settling, first, in the Elmont section and, then later, Floral Park. As a child, Warren attended Stewart Manor Elementary, and in June '09 graduated from Sewanhaka High School. Never one who was that interested in the professional pursuit of music, an impromptu, albeit unfortunate, freestyle competition that took place at a friend's birthday party celebration on November 20th 2003, forever changed Wint's fate. After a ferocious lyrical battle, where Warren was, surprisingly to him anyway, repeatedly booed, ultimately prompted him to vow to prove all his doubters and naysayers wrong. Initially finding the entire process of formulating verses, let alone complete songs, extremely difficult, as time went on natural progression slowly but surely eased the task. Warren, who remains unsigned, is more-than ready, willing and able to do any and everything in his power to finally be able to achieve his dreams and aspirations. Warren Wint is currently readying the release of his forthcoming debut EP, Introducing Mr. Warren Wint, which is being introduced by its refreshing lead offering, "One Man's Trash." A second single, quite possibly "Listen," is expected to follow suit shortly thereafter. Introducing Mr. Warren Wint is technically a precursor of sorts to his "official" full-length LP, Signed, Sealed & Delivered, with production courtesy of up'n'comin' beat-smiths; Straight From The Lab Productions, Manolo Willi, Shakim, Traxx, Freeman, among others, which is slated for late '11/early 2012. 9. Mark Deez began writing lyrics in middle school and began to take his craft seriously around his freshman year of high school by acquiring some makeshift studio equipment and recording a few demo songs. After positive feedback from his peers, Deez released several mixtapes to fellow students at his high school and began to garner somewhat of a following. In 2006, after being kicked out of high school and acquiring a GED, Deez began to take his music career seriously. He bought all new studio equipment and began creating quality music. In 2009, Deez released What Lies Within, a mixtape hosted by DJ Vlad, which has garnered positive feedback in the hip hop community. Deez also began working with fellow southern emcees Dr. iLL & Powder to form the underground hip hop collective, Grindhouse Gang. In January 2010, Mark Deez released his debut album, The Cycle of Struggle on iLL-Legit Records (Dr. iLL's independent Hip Hop label). In July of 2010, Mark Deez followed-up his debut album, with a more polished sophomore effort in The Oracle, released on Uncut Productions (The White Shadow of Norway's indie Hip Hop label) which garnered even more attention to Deez for his brash lyricism and excellent guest production from the likes of Domingo, Snowgoons, Sicknature, White Shadow, Powder, amongst others. Deez has also made a name for himself in the realm of collaborations, having appeared on numerous releases on the underground Hip Hop scene. In late 2010, Deez will released his third solo album (and third album of 2010) Bootstrap Theory which features Hip Hop legends Kool G Rap & Canibus, and underground emcees such as Block McCloud (Army of The Pharaohs/Brooklyn Academy) and Darkskinned Assassin (Chambermusik) amongst other artists. 10. Sho Zoe returns with his new club single "need id" off his upcoming mixtape the passport 2 hosted by dj quest which is a follow of the first passport hosted by dj drama! Hailing from Naples, a small city in between Miami and Fort Myers, Florida the Haitian American native Sho Zoe never saw himself as the type to sit in an office and work regular business hours for his entire adult life. Rap was a hobby for him until 9th grade when he performed in front of his high school and received a lot of praise for his performance. “Everybody went crazy and was asking me for autographs.” After graduating high school, he even tried college a few times to try to get his degree for a stable living, but it never worked out for him. “I’d rather be performing for people and be able to speak my mind,” says Sho Zoe. After his unsuccessful attempts with college, he began to take what he had done since 12, which is his music, more serious. Sho Zoe names Trick Daddy, 2Pac, Nate Dogg, Wyclef, and Bob Marley as his influences and just like them he wants to present his music to those who can relate. “I’m doing it for the people who ain’t got nothing at all. A lot of people brag about how much money they got, but I’m standing up for the people who got nothing at all. I’m speaking for the people that came from the bottom of the barrel”. Sho Zoe continues to travel, do shows, and promote his music, hoping for that big opportunity to happen. “Everything takes time, it’s a little harder for me, but I can do it.” says a self-assured Sho Zoe. He realizes his market and is not depending on signing with a major label, but if that opportunity came upon him, he would be more than welcomed to it. “If a major comes down, and they talkin numbers then hey, lets do it, but if not, I’mma still do me.” Sho Zoe feels that he has come a long way since 7th grade where he wrote his first ever song to TLC’s “No Scrubs” on a stereo tape player and hopes to leave his mark in this industry. “I want to leave the industry with people knowing no matter what you come from, you can make it in this world. 11. By coming up in a huge family and always wanting to hang with the O.G's and always following the wrong crowd, sometimes it sucked to always being told you are too young for this and too young for that. By hearing this enough, Young One found a way to make the older guys come to him by freestyling for them just to hang around and learn the streets. By doing this, his street cred grew and his name (Which came from one of the O.Gs) was given to Derrick "Lunitik" Harper (C.E.O of Luni-Bin Entertainment). Derrick quickly signed Young One and immediately linked him with artists such as 2 Chainz (Tity Boi), Cyhi da Prynce, Kid Ink, Jody Breeze, Yo Gotti, J. Marsh and more. When asked about Young One''s future in the game, Derrick quickly said "With the endorsements from the likes of Lupe Fiasco, Jody Breeze, Tity Boi, and more lyricist along with his work ethic, I think this guy is well on his way and destined for a quick takeoff. Luni-Bin (now WeBinElite Music Group) Decided to drop the single "In My Zone" ft Jody Breeze. Check it out here and make sure you hit @youngoneatl up and let him know what you think about the music. 16. He'll take you there. Hip-hop lyricist Cabby paints a vivid picture with his words and smoothly transports the listener into his world. An ultimate storyteller, he's unique in the rap game, in that his lyrics don't rhyme. But you won't miss that typical rhyming pattern because Cabby's straightforward delivery unfolds stories that most folks can relate to. Hailing from Denver, Colorado's rough East Village housing project, Cabby, who was told by his mother that he was nicknamed “Cabby” because it was his father's favorite drink, is a product of his environment, treating school like a part-time endeavor and getting his full-time, hard-knock education on the streets. The introspective Cabby has always been into music—it became fuel for his soul at an early age. He cut his teeth by watching guys like NWA, Master P and Tupac, and worked on perfecting his freestyle flow. And though street life beckoned and took him off of those same streets for a while, Cabby never abandoned his best therapy, that of hip-hop music. He persisted and persevered, with the knowledge that a better life was possible for him. Like Timex, Cabby took a licking from life, but has definitely kept on ticking. He's fully focused on his hip-hop hustle now. His cousin then decided to form an independent record label, Too Much Entertainment to assist him in achieving his goals. He also forayed to Sin City (Las Vegas) to do some shows and feel out the music scene there. Always on his grind, the tattooed Cabby is dedicated to success and self-motivated. His rhymes unfold his real realities set to music. He gets the point across, manipulating words like a kid with a lump of Play-Doh. A modern-day griot, Cabby has a story to tell. Cabby created one of his songs, “Player Hater,” one day in the gym, in Vegas. He was going through some “crabs in the barrel” stuff with the people in his cipher, so his words were his expression and release of the feeling of being surrounded by haters. His message is that they can't stop him. Cabby's “Head To The Sky” talks about his keen focus on succeeding. It's his introduction song, repping area code 303, where his name is still on the block. Some outstanding production talent has worked with Cabby, including Scorp Dezel, who also hails from Colorado, whose credits include Rick Ross, Lil Wayne and Yung Jeezy. Other stand-out producers contributing to Cabby's music project include Maserati Myers and Sid Roams. The hard working Cabby is driving out the negative images of his earlier life and is steadily carving out his niche in the hip-hop music game. He sees the destination in his forward-view mirror, and won't stop until he arrives. 18. 2pistols is back with his new smash " Private Dancer" going for airplay now! In the past decade, artists from the South have added an addictive urban twist to pop music around the world. From Cee-Lo and Andre 3000 to Flo-Rida and Pitbull, dance floors everywhere have ignited with mashups of hip hop, rock, pop, dance, soul and world music in futuristic ways. Since his debut in 2008, Florida native 2P (formerly known as 2Pistols) has been creating his own vision of new era urban pop. Now independent from Cash Money, 2P is reveling in the opportunity to release his own brand of musical passion. His new single “Private Dancer” is out now via BMU/SIMM Music Group. While 2P has been open about his troubled past, the young lyricist admits that the full scope of his experiences has brought him to a better place in life. After balancing dreams of sports and songwriting as a teen, 2P took up with some illegal dealings that led him to incarceration and eventually probation. By 2006, he was promoting concerts and nightclub events in his home of Tarpon Springs, Florida and surrounding areas near Tampa. Always locked in on his desire to perform, 2P built a network of local music industry professionals, DJs and artists, which he dubbed Blood Money Union. The young songwriter’s musical track record eventually caught the eye of the Justice League, which led to a distribution situation with Universal Republic in 2007. By 2008, 2Pistol’s T-Pain assisted single “She Got It” was at #7 on the Rhythmic Top 40 chart, and hit #2 on the Billboard Hot Rap Tracks chart. By 2009, 2P signed to Cash Money Records, and opted for independence in 2010. In addition to learning the high stakes of business in the past few years, 2P has also seen his personal life blossom in ways he never thought possible. “I feel that I see life through a different pair of eyes now – I see what life should be like,” 2P asserts. “I feel very blessed to know that a small town guy with a big city hustle can beat the odds if he sets his mind to it. Because of my experiences, I’ve also got a better relationship with my daughter. I really made an impact on her by becoming successful, and she knows that she can become anything she wants to become.” Every good artist will credit mentors in their careers, and 2P found that some of his most valuable life advice came from prolific songwriter and producer David Banner when they toured together. “Banner said to me, ‘God can give it and God can take it away – it’s all about what you do with it when he gives it to you’,” recalls 2P. “Knowing that a person that sold 20 times more records than me can still be human, not let the limelight control them and still keep God first is amazing. That’s why personally, I’m humble. But musically, I’m arrogant!” Follow @2pistols on twitter! http://www.2-pistols.com/ http://www.simmentertainment.com http://www.facebook.com/2Pistols http://www.myspace.com/2pistols Download 2 Pistols Ft.
