Christopher ("C-Nut") Chestnut was adopted at birth by B.R. Chestnut and Mary L. Chestnut, born November 18, in Kansas City, Kansas; he was the youngest of two children. C-Nut was an outgoing child, very much outspoken and a leader.

C-Nut was eight years old when he picked up his first talent of playing percussion and becoming a percussionist. During his sixth grade year at the age of ten, he was expelled from Eisenhower Middle School for having over thirty-five (35) disciplinary reports on his record. C-Nut focused his time after being expelled from school on playing basketball, practicing his percussionist skills and also at the age of ten writing his first rap lyrics. The following year C-Nut attended alternative school and was able to excel and advance back at his studies and reunited with his original class.

During C-Nuts eighth grade year he began playing Basketball and would become to be the leading scorer of the team. C-Nut kept up his school work, understanding the value of an education and playing basketball. Basketball became a real focus for C-Nut along with putting his thoughts into his music in the way of Rap. He was always out on the streets playing basketball, or at the school yard playing basketball. C-Nut's skills as a great basketball player and all his hard work on his skills were really paying off. It gave C-Nut a focus, and he had his taste at what that focus brought him, which was to be the leading scorer of the team, and many of those shots were three pointers.

C-Nut attended Washington High School. During his high school years, his freshman year he started with the varsity basketball team; this was not common at the time for a freshman to be on the varsity team. It was C-Nut's Junior year when he found his way into the world of music and signed with as an artist with a independent label, having won numerous talent shows around the city. C-Nut played basketball through his senior year with the varsity basketball team, again, at this time it was not common for a player to play all four years and becoming the all time leading scorer the team ever had. The Head Coach and C-Nut however, did not see eye to eye on playing basketball and living the life of a Rockstar. C-Nut not only played a great game, but he also won most popular guy in high school all four years and was homecoming King his senior year. C-Nut through all his hard work and determination, received a basketball scholarship and went on to continue his studies and play D-1 College Basketball at Creighton University.

When C-Nut was 18 years old, he met his biological mother and his three younger siblings, one sister and two brothers. Now he was the second oldest of five siblings.

C-Nut continued to play D-1 basketball at Creighton University and it was also at Creighton University through C-Nut's creative writing, when his teacher asked C-Nut to sight a rhyme for the class; having an intern in the class from MTV, gave C-Nut a major write up on MTV website for being a producer/artist.

C-Nut transferred schools and graduated college from the University of Central Oklahoma and went on to independently pursue his music career.

He is a great co-Captain that recognizes talent and offers his expertise as a basketball player. He continues to mentor the youth and gives a powerful message about staying in school and getting your education, not to rely on sports alone.
