So, is not salvation available to all? Is it not necessary for all? This is the genesis of Salvation For Ordinary People. These are the thoughts that were born of gin and speculation. Of human interaction. With the man who loses a child too soon; the supplicant son; the lover, jilted; the ever-vigilant brother. These ruminations would become, eight months later, the basis for this album. Each of the people we meet has a story. Each of them is seeking their own salvation. And while, ostensibly, that story might not seem intriguing or dramatic, it is important to them. These are the stories that we try to tell. And in that telling lies our own salvation.
