Toto Cutugno was born in the town Fosdinovo (Massa Carrara) July 7, 1943.

Through his father Toto from an early age became interested in music.

In 1975 he wrote the song "Indian summer (L'ete indienne), which performs Joe Dassin. A little later Cutugno Dassin wrote for another smash hit, "If you were not there (Et sit un'existais pas).

His songs have become famous throughout the world. They sing Mireille Mathieu, Dalida, Johnny Holliday, Michel Sardou, Claude Francois, Dzhilola Cinquetti, "Ricky e Poveri" by Domenico Modugno.

In 1979, the song Toto Cutugno "Some (Soli) performed by Adriano Celentano few months is on first place in the Italian charts.

In 1980 Cutugno took 1 st place at the Festival of Sanremo with the song "Only we (Solo noi).

1983 - 2 nd place in San Remo with the song "The Italian (L'italiano).

1984 - 2 nd place in San Remo, thanks to the song "Serenade."

In May 1991 - 1 st place at the Festival Song Contest in Zagreb with the song "Together in 1992 (Insieme 1992").
