Pharmacy technician certification is not a requirement for a job in many cases but sometimes an employer will require that the employee is certified as a pharmacy technician. To become a certified pharmacy technician, you must be administered an examination that is offered through either the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or the Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians. Once the applicant passes the examination they are officially recognized as a certified pharmacy technician.
