So when you hear the name Scrap Easy, don't just assume he lives as such all the time. Born into the Somerville section of Philadelphia, Scrap has experienced all sides of life. He was exposed to the streets through his older brother, basketball through his friends, and school through his parents. His constant struggle to determine which is most important has directly influenced his music, which is a distinct blend of rider music, everyday life songs and personal experience reenactments. He is a new breed of hip-hop specializing in reality, as he has seen everything he speaks about. This realness can be felt throughout the music. Scrap has had some success, getting placements on Friday Night Lights TV series, and working with Super Producer Get Cool 3000, they continue to make quality street music together.
