Ny5Haze
Stress - Tell To Story Gotta (Main).mp3 - 2.4 Mb Stress Emerging from a strong music background and growing up in Jamaica, Queens where the most successful music legends were born, Jabula Hudson aka Stress, son to legendary Keith Hudson “the dark prince of reggae” and music executive producer Jean Hudson, is destined to be the breath of fresh air, in an era where many believe Hip Hop has lost it’s touch. Stress’ musical influences have inspired him to be a versatile, suave yet street lyricist who is respected by men and loved by the ladies. The death of his father, Keith Hudson, who passed away of lung cancer when Stress was only 9 years old and the death of his mother, Jean Hudson, who passed away from internal bleeding when Stress was 16 years old has served as motivation to him and his brothers, Ricky Street aka Tye a reggae singer and Keith Hudson Jr. aka Trifle- also a Hip Hop artists, to carry out their musical family legacy. Stress’ musical knowledge has helped evolve his signature style of production in several contemporary genres of music including: R&B, Soul, Reggae, as well as Hip Hop. Stress’ dark past and a recent, near career ending, incident in which he got stabbed has not served as burden to his ambition and determination to succeed in this industry. His pop sensibility, lyrical ability, and swag that can be compared to that of the late Frank Sinatra have landed him, in the path of musical success. Despite him being unsigned, he has built a music empire on his own, which has gained him a nomination at the LA Black Music Awards for best “Rap Performer” in 2004. Stress has also been featured in several local and music industry magazines, such as, Unique Style Magazine in which he received a 4.2 out of a 5.0 for his debut album “Fahrenheit Affair”, Hyphy Magazine, Showcase Magazine, Rap Illustrator, and a documentary called “Unsigned”, which is based on the trials and tribulations of breaking into the music business. But it definitely does not stop there, his resume includes two licensed songs on “South of Nowhere”, a popular T.V show on the “N” channel, called “Ching Ching” and “Fall Back”. He has also performed, as an open act, all over the United States with artists’ like, Busta Rhymes, 112, Lil Jon, Lil Wayne, EPMD, Eve, Young Bloodz, Ying Yang Twins, and Slim Thug. So what is next for Stress? Stress’ album “Fahrenheit Affair”, which is 90 percent produced by him, featuring artists like Billy Cook, Tami Latrell aka Taboo and Magyver, a song with his father, Keith Hudson, which is a remake of one of his father’s original songs, is now available on amazon. com. His autobiographical book titled “Jabula’s Happiness” will be in stores in late September. With his career blooming my best advice is to sit back and watch this star shine.
