That's what it took for Seattle's Ricky Brown, also known as NoClue, to break the Guinness Book of World Records' Fastest Rapper title on January 15th, 2005. To become the fastest rapper on the planet, NoClue rapped at a tongue numbing clip of 14.1 syllables per second. This feat surpassed the 12.5 syllables per second pace set in 1998 by Chicago artist, Rebel XD. Born in Seattle, NoClue grew up in the Rainier Vista suburb of Seattle, known as the Central District. Gaining studio experience by following his grandfather, (a member of The Singing Galations), NoClue began writing his first lyrics at the young age of 9. He would record in their studio every other Sunday. The name, NoClue, derives from the fact that the world has 'no clue' what kind of impact he is about to bring. Not only is NoClue talented, but his ambition for stardom really became apparent in 2004, when he was 19. That is when he set out on his quest to become the world's fastest rap artist. Upon discovering the Guinness Book of World Records' Fastest Rap Artist category, NoClue determined it was an opportunity to achieve his dream of stardom. On January 15th, 2005, at Seattle's B&G Studios, Ricky Brown delivered the winning verse that crowned him the Guinness Book of World Records' Fastest Rap Artist. This accomplishment is exactly what he needed to gain recognition. Soon after his breaking of the world record, he received an overwhelming media response. NoClue has since been propelled into the spotlight and has graced the front cover of the Seattle Times Newspaper, grasped prominence on Q13 Fox News and in VR Magazine, has been courted by Ellen DeGeneres' representatives, has been sought after by multiple independent record labels, has been invited to perform at numerous music festivals, has been approached by several reality television outlets, and has appeared as a special guest at many public arenas in Seattle. With the emergence of his high budget music video, 'New West', NoClue has solidified his role as a seasoned entertainer. Not only has his music video been embraced by BET's On Blast, he has proved to be a media sensation on the Web. Hundreds of thousands of fans have continued to visit his official website thus far. His YouTube page was catapulted to the Top 50 following his breaking of the world record. NoClue has also advanced his bicoastal appeal by headlining at The Knitting Factory in New York City, receiving positive performance reviews. Digital sales of his pre album, 'Ntroduction', are soaring. NoClue is currently placing the finishing touches on his much anticipated debut album, 'Forewarning', which is due to release in 2010.
