I've been featured in blogs, and I've been invited to multiple shows and showcases, and have been told by a slew of industry personnel that it's a hit record. Ya'll need to broaden your scope of appreciation and think outside your city or sound. This song is at the very least marketable and bangs enough to rock a show or club, and for the record I have three mixtapes worth of material so no I do not need to go back to the lab.....so thanks but no thanks. I don't know what venue this would fit in. I spin everything... depends on the gig. I've been spinning house, dance, r&b, rap and hip hop since 1973 in New York, Philly, New Jersey, Washington D C, Atlanta and Orlando. and I have IMMEDIATE family in ALL of the states I've mentioned. I mean ... the song is NOT a bad song. I am sure SOME people will listen to it and say it is an O K song. The other thing is I went to college for a degree in music production... promoted a ton of shows and co owned a recording studio before I got out the business ... Just because someone did not F E E L this particular song is no reason to call them "haters"... accept the comments - good and bad - and move on. Wishing unregistered all the best. Lol, a lotta rappers have used the blackberry theme, and iphone, and twitter, etc. I want R.I.M to contact us, that's publicity and a potential partnership to help their marketing campaign. Hip-Hop sells, with a song like this we could attract the teen/young adult demographic. As for the too busy well, it's being spun on radip stations already and clubs so we're getting a buzz....... again thanks for the critique, at least urs sounded constructive... Negative or positive, if people didnt have a say on it thats when you should worry. Imma producer and artist my self, I think the song will be succesfull in many markets only thing is blackberry's are gettin old. Ya need to hit the lab and have the next smash ready... I felt the mix could have been better on the vocals and that would have solidified this one in my book. Thanks I appreciate the advice, Jesus Walks by Kanye was rejected for a while because labels though it was appropriate for the mainstream, my point is, I have enough people behind this record that I take everything with a grain of salt, I truly believe I'm a great asset to the record industry not only as a artist but as a entrepreneur, leader, revolutionist, and inspiration. I have a lot of great ideas that will forever change the way artists are perceived. I'm not a rapper my friend, I'm the posterboy for a bigger, better, and brighter future for Hip-Hop, I'm have 2 degrees, I don drink or smoke, and I believe in the betterment of our youth, Hip-Hop needs a leader now, T.I's the only rapper man enough to admit his faults and educate the youth, someone tell him his apprentice has arrived...and his name is Todd P!
