Coming from a city that’s not largely known for music, he found musical inspiration through family. YungTreal grew up with music all around him as his mother was a R&B singer and was a part of a popular band. She sang at local clubs and internationally, from time to time brought him with her to rehearsals. As an adult he began to incorporate his early musical experiences into writing and recording. YungTreal's influences and inspiration to music is OutKast, Andra Day, Big Kritt and many others just to name a few. In 2007, after seeing determination and passion for music, YungTreal established himself as an artist with a vision not only for the industry, but for his community. He is aware of the influence that music has on his audience and he uses his music as a stepping stone for positivity, with the desire to make an impact on his listeners.
