Ty Hannah was born in the city of Sumter, South Carolina, where his love for music was rooted. Since 1993 he has been showcasing his passion for music in a variety of talent shows in Columbia, SC and its surrounding areas. Ty was the vital piece in forming a quartet in 1996 named “The Sons of Harmony”, and was collectively chosen by the group to be lead vocalist. They performed at many shows and competitions together thru the year 2000, when Ty Hannah chose to move to Minnesota to continue his education in the field of music. Shortly thereafter, he was rediscovered and joined a trio, which birthed his recording career with experienced musicians and producers such as James “Poppa” Guer, former guitarist of "The Time". Ty’s first tour experience was with R&B Badboyz, “V.I.P”, of Baby Honey Records, managed by B. Rich and Lance “L.A.” Alexander, co founder of” Lo Key?” of Minneapolis, MN. He also toured withASoul Brothers "Ruff Endz", formerly of Epic/Sony in 2001. While obtaining his degree in ‘Radio Broadcast Communications & Journalism’ at Brown College in Mendota Heights, MN, he began Djing at the popular downtown Minneapolis club, “Club Tropix”, with Eric James in 2001. After establishing himself in the club scene as a DJ, Ty returned home and began working and developing himself as a solo artist, and while working at Sumter’s Kiss FM Radio Station, he started recording and tweaking his own sound. After moving to Orlando, Florida he began performing live shows each week under the name “TyLuv”. This led to recording with new producers and artists such as: Dirty Baker’s “Brova Brotha’s”  Al "Shaft" Washington and Ike Burna, J Biz, Smilez and SouthStar and more. Ty added to his solo work efforts by winning a promotional bit with the Orlando based reality show, “Back to Reality”, where he performed weekly at Orlando’s nightclub, “The Blue Room”. Still pursuing his dream as a solo artist, Ty Hannah took on "American Idol’s" contestant ploy when the show came to Orlando, Fl, in 2005.

Ty Hannah is exalted that he is an ‘active’ INDIE act with his first EP album release on April 25, 2009, titled “EarCandy”. This was one of the first albums to be released, available for purchase, and downloaded through an online digital platform. He used this opportunity to stand apart from MOST by promoting the “better alternative”, downloading his music thru stores like Itunes, Napster, Rhapsody, and Amazon. At that time this was unheard of! The single “She Deserves”, from this album, personifies that Ty Hannah is a true, smooth “crooner”, like artist similar to the “R. Kelly’s”, “Charlie Wilson’s”, “Jodeci’s”, and “Dru Hill’s”.

In 2010 Ty Hannah independently released his second EP, "The Recommencing of Ty Hannah”, which not only sold digitally, but physically as well, including in the UK. He caught the  attention of syndicated radio stations like Hot 96.3 Indianapolis, IN. and Dj Russ Parr’s "Live or Die". Receiving over 15,000 votes, this same year, Ty won an online radio contest out of Tampa, Fl, by way of a Los Angeles, CA station, voting on 98.2 The Beats “Rotate It or Mutilate It”  contest to Rotate his single "Ride or Die Chick". Further advancing his career, he built relationships with ‘industry legends’ and ‘Grammy winning’ musicians, having the pleasure of working on projects with some, such as Mikael Man, former guitarist of The Legendary Commodores in 2013. Ty Hannah has since been touring independently marketing various singles like: “I’m Her Ringtone”, from the new album “Exit Strategy”, launching the official music video’s release in January 2015. Ty Hannah toured from the east, starting in NYC, NY, to the west, ending in Denver, CO, only marketing and promoting this single. It can be found on almost every digital platform available! Ty Hannah can currently be seen performing live 4, days a week, for tourists all over the world.

Throughout the career of this BMI Singer/Songwriter, Ty Hannah has performed live, and opened for major acts, such as; Ice-T, DJ Prostyle (formerly of BET’s 106 & Park, Orlando’s Power 95.3, and currently on New York’s 105.1 FM THE BEAT). He has exhibited his talent at many large venues in Orlando including “Club Destiny” and Fl "Paul Mitchell".

First Soul R&B artist to be managed by the family of the Late Great DJ Jam Master Jay of Run DMC.

Industry work affiliations also include, but not limited to: Jack Pope, Biz Markie, EPMD, Rakim, RZA and Wu Tang just to name a few.

Ty Hannah`s Album Single “Maybe I Love You” was produced by the “Superstarz” and won a summer contest spot at being one of the ‘top 200 songs’ on Radio Airplay Direct for 2015’.
