Growing up, Nae had a passion for basketball at a early age. However, Nae was deeply in love with music. She wrote her first rhyme at 8 years old alongside her older brother. Music was always fun, she used it as a getaway while going thru different obstacles in life. Nae began taking music more serious in the year of 2013 by joining the team called YPC (Young Paper Chasers). During this time she was also shooting her own music videos, creating a lane for herself. With the group, she's experienced so much industry like events such as, performing live for hundreds to thousands of people. Also, opening for various industry artists to doing live radio interviews and being featured in multiple hip hop magazines. On side of that, she became one of the top videographers in the city, by working hard and using it as a hustle. In 2015, she was nominated for SC female hip hop artist of the year and videographer of the year, along with other categories affiliating YPC. She took home the SC female artist of the year award, which was a great accomplishment. Overall, Nae wants her music to inspire listeners, encourage people to follow their heart and be themselves.
