GreenHitz.com
Blue Eyed Soul DK is a brand new Danish act. The man behind is singer, rapper, producer and multi musician Anders Carstensen. He is an experienced artist on the Danish soul/pop scene in the shadow of people like Lukas Graham, but he is putting more edge to the genre by being a softvoice singer and "heartcore" rapper at the same time. Blue Eyed Soul DK is a crossover of modern soul, oldscool funk, indiepop and Motown, but he is performing these American genres in a very European way. He released albums before, and had many songs in rotation on National Danish Radio, but they were in Danish, and Blue Eyed Soul DK is his first world wide release, and also the first release on the new indie label Artpop Productions. The album will be out in August, but we now present to DJ's the first single feat. french rapper Justaman. You have the opportunity to play the single track before it is even released. Swerve
Not sure if it has legs in American markets. The song has hints of George Michael, Jamiroquai, and the falsetto is similar to Robin Thicke. It's a niche song capable of airplay on independent internet stations, at the least (here in the US) Good to hear some international Euro flava, regardless.
