GreenHitz.com
The prolific Hip Hop and R&B artist once again shows he's a triple threat with a hot new single off the Songs About Girls Album Minneapolis, Minnesota, April 14, 2015 – Hip Hop and R&B artist Envy has been heard on both the small and big screens, and has now released a new single, “Go Head” from his Songs About Girls Album. The single is full of Envy's trademark whip smart lyrics and catchy hook, like last summer's release, “#MCM (Man Crush Monday),” and is now available for purchase on all digital outlets, including Apple iTunes. Envy's music has been featured in several high-profile Hollywood projects, including Netflix’s “Orange is the New Black,” “Keeping up with the Kardashians,” “Mob Wives,” and films “Harold and Kumar,” “Piranha 3D,” “Ride Along,” to name a few. With his single “Ringtone,” Envy charted on Billboard for 16 straight weeks, holding the #1 position for six weeks. With each new single he releases, Envy explores new musical territory, an approach he began at the age of 17 when he first started taking his songwriting seriously. He's excited to present “Go Head,” which he imagines as the perfect anthem for the summer. “My new track is about women that I have a connection with, and the dance to see who will make the first move. I see it as a sexy and fun track,” says Envy. In November 2014, Envy teamed up with fellow musician Fancy to present a re-imagined version of the 1998 Mariah Carey song “Breakdown.” Envy has three studio albums to his name including The Pulse, Upper Echelon, and EOE (Evolution of Envy). He expects his next album to drop late this summer. His newest release shows that he's following the proud tradition of Minneapolis musicians such as Prince, with smart lyrics and irresistible chords, while carving out his own way.
