GreenHitz.com Posted January 20, 2015 Report Share Posted January 20, 2015 Let me start from the beginning - I was born James Clanagan III, in Pittsburgh, PA. I grew up in the church, listening to Gospel music...singing Gospel music, alongside my family and in church choirs. Music has always been something that I have, just, done. After high school, I joined the Military and my life took a bit of a turn. With all the moving around, I stopped going to church regularly and started living a different life. I was singing often, but rarely giving notice to God. I would soon learn that this was not how God wanted me to use my gift. I linked up with a few really talented people and we were making some good music, but things started falling apart and that life got old, quickly. I ended up moving back - close to home - and started attending my father's church; I knew there was something missing in my life. The church pastor sought me out and God used him to speak life into me; I made the decision to turn my life back around. After that, I turned into a bit of a hermit; separating myself from the world and really delving into the scriptures. This is the time that God needed to really mold me into the man that I am today. He showed me that my purpose was to spread the Word of God, and that singing was just one of the avenues He had given me to be able to do that.
