Raised in Staten Island's Stapleton Houses, Nellz has boldly tasked himself with bringing the borough back to musical relevancy. With a gift for storytelling and a flow laced with candor, confidence and charm, he's right on track to make it happen. Though his parents separated not long after his birth, Nellz inherited key traits from them both. His mother's devotion as a Jehovah's Witness framed his belief system molding him into a loyal, intelligent man while his father's involvement in a small, local DJ crew led him to discover his love for music. Heavily influenced by the Notorious B.I.G and Jay-Z, Nellz began writing at 18 and realized within a year that he was capable of taking his skill beyond lighthearted cafeteria and neighborhood battles with friends. Over the past decade, Nellz has grown into a perfectionist of sorts -- a quiet bull with a subtle grittiness. Amid his catalog of songs that cater to the streets, women and partygoers, Nellz sets out to deliver one thing with his music - the truth.
