GreenHitz.com
Music artist, Ray iLLa, is hitting the music scene hard with his witty punchlines and expressive story-telling— encouraging people with what he’s coined “Motivation Muzik.” There’s more beyond the streets and Ray uses music to give confidence to the belief that to be great in life, you have to “get up and get it .” With lyrics hitting you with powerful force, the Chicago-bred rapper is focused on his “Supa Ugly Grind,” and making dope music in the process. Ray’s strong admiration for the art of music began at the age of 6. A member of a musically inclined family, it was likely that he wouldn’t be left behind—his gift starting in percussion. He started by playing the drums at school after a teacher sparked his interest, and then at church. As he grew older, his talents expanded to both rap and songwriting. Chicago’s east side is notorious for its tough atmosphere and after a few run-ins with the law in 2008, Ray wanted a change and became committed to positive productivity. Determined to change his life around, Ray dove deeper into his long-lasting pastime of music and seriously started to pursue his rap career. Fueled by a desire to be a source of enthusiastic, optimistic reinforcement, Ray is focused on creating music that motivates and writing songs that influence. He recently performed at the A3C Music Festival, one of the largest hip-hop festivals in the U.S., which occurs annually in Atlanta, GA and continues to work as a representation of his hometown of Chicago. “There’s more to Chicago hip-hop than just ‘drill music,’” says Ray. “I’d like to use my music as a means to re-direct the vastly misguided youth in Chicago and throughout America as a whole.” Follow @rayilla on twitter! http://www.datpiff.com/Ray-iLLa-SupaUglyGrind2-mixtape.534895.html http://instagram.com/rayilla http://facebook.com/illa21 Hidden Content Leave feedback to unlock content.
