Narbaez (born October 18, 1983), better known by his mononym Tha Real Scarface or sometimes by T.R.S, is an American rapper, songwriter, producer and entrepreneur from Dallas, Texas. Born in Lubbock, Texas the eldest of 4 siblings, Robert was destined to be different. At the age of two, Robert would be burned over 50% of his body including the right side of his face by a water heater that exploded. After weeks in a comma, Robert regained consciousness but his up hill journey had just begun. Throughout his adolescent years, Robert was teased and harassed for his visible scars. But that would only drive Robert to work harder and to be better than that of the average person. Robert took on the name “Tha Real Scarface” as a teenager and would carry the name throughout his young adult years and into his career as an artist. T.R.S was determined to make what others saw as a crutch, his success story. T.R.S always had an ear for music, being that music was in his family’s background, his father being in different bands while he was growing up. Robert was involved in choir and played a variety of musical instruments, but it wasn’t until T.R.S was older that he decided to use his musical talents as a career path in hopes to get away from the street life knowing music was the outlet. In 2006 he pursued a career in music, writing and producing his first album. A short time after the release of his first album, T.R.S signed to Ledbetter Records. In 2008, he and a fellow label mate, Accomplice started their own record label, “Money First Entertainment”. Later that same year T.R.S. signed with DJ Smallz and his label, “Fear Factor Music” as an in house producer. Between 2010 and 2014, T.R.S has opened up for big names such as Kirko Bangz, Z-ro, Devin tha Dude, Twista, Bun B & Slim Thug. Currently T.R.S. has drawn allot of attention from his single “Dream Girl” featuring Sertified Music. T.R.S has released 9 mixtapes and has built a strong following and buzz nationwide and continues to surge forward as one of Dallas' up and coming artist in 2014!
