He sets himself apart from other artist with a unique mix of motivation, inspiration, and pure entertainment. Cordell co-founded Trumpet Sound Records LLC in 2006 where he is currently the sole artist. His club smash “Hood Dance” has created a tremendous following on MySpace and has over 1,000,000 views on YouTube. Cordell coined a jingle for the 2006 Western Conference champs, Dallas Mavericks, which received radio spins on K104 FM and created great notoriety from the Mavericks organization. In 2007 Cordell opened up for Play & Shillz at the Dallas Summer Music Festival that featured artists, Paul Wall, Pit Bull, Slim Thug, and Nina Sky. Cordell also performed at the 2009 Go DJ conference in Houston, TX, as well as other local and out of town artist showcases. As a hip hop artist, Cordell feels it is imperative to give back to his community as he demonstrated in 2008 by performing a 7 DISD school tour for the TAKS test. He also performed in New York at Maria Davis’ R&B and Hip Hop against AIDS event. Cordell is currently performing in Texas and surrounding states promoting his upcoming album “Rise to Power” and lead radio single “Spaceship”.
