theres a business to our art. understand and learn the business of promoting and selling your art. iv been djing since i was 12. promoters have always been crooked, always try to under cut you, and will if they can. its all about building your brand and being versitile being able to play in almost any venue and wreck. ill do any event from 8 to 80 blind, criple, or crazy if it pays rite. look into doing more than just parties and clubs. for example colleges always pay well and you dont have to deal wit a bullshit promoter money is always good and on time and usually it in the day during the week. time you would be practing or lookin for music. also clean always makes more money. lastly were you cant find work create have ur own events. i say all that to say this there will always be niggas wit a computer or a book of cds that will ca ll himself a dj.ill undercut the shit out of you but if you focus on what ur building and stop worrying u will get to a level far past that undercuting shit you think drama , canon worry bout bein undercut them niggas stayed focus on there craft shit.
