Honestly, I figured it (serato) was working for everybody else, so I wasn't about to put in $500 into just trying something out. Serato is industry standard and is proven. I've seen Traktor and Torq used at The Guitar Center, but other than that, I've never seen a club DJ use it. From Colorado to DC, Serato has worked for every other DJ I've seen, so I figured it would work for me too. So, I invested my money in serato. Since then, I can't say that I've had any problems that I couldn't fix making some adjustments. If you're not running enough ram or your processor is too slow, you will get some latency using Serato, but I'm guessing that's with any mp3 interface.
